Funky Food is a sister company branching from a very well known and established Entertainment Company, Alleycat Entertainment, owned and operated by Carl Fuchs. Funky Food was established after seeing not only the opportunity, but also a niche market in the catering and hospitality industry that no other company could fill. Carl Fuchs (aged 33) have been in the entertainment and hospitality trade for some 20 years, thus knowing all the ins and outs in this niche trade.

Why book your function through any event coordinator or event manager, when they simply raise the prices by adding their fees to services that they outsource anyway?? We can do all that, and we own all the equipment ourselves!! Funky Food quickly grew into such a huge success that more help was needed at functions, and we currently offer other services such as Bar-staff, waiters etc to compliment our products and services.

Being the biggest catering company in the Helderberg, we own all our equipment. We do not outsource our serve-ware, cutlery etc. That way you can rest assure that the structure would be in place to have a great dining experience.

Funky Food was established after we realized that many catering companies in Cape Town and the surrounding areas deliver a very narrow-minded service. Some catering companies don’t even have their own cutlery or equipment… they simply rent it in…

We also discovered that some catering companies do not keep certain aspects in mind when preparing, and serving food, such as etiquette, hygiene, service and the correct preparation and storage of their products.

We saw a scope for improvement, and made it our mission to deliver only the best, direct to our clients, would it be our products or services.
